In order to eliminate the shortcomings of the finished product of beryllium copper plate in the rolling process, improve the flatness of the surface of the beryllium copper plate, improve the function of the product or facilitate continuous processing, the beryllium copper plate should be leveled. The main leveling methods are: roll leveling, stretch leveling or tension leveling, stretch tortuosity leveling and various other combined leveling, such as stretching annealing leveling and so on.
1. Roll leveling of beryllium copper plate
This leveling method is completed by passing the beryllium copper plate through two rows of staggered leveling rollers with the same diameter and the same distance. The principle is the method of making small plastic deformation after repeated twists and turns, eliminating the residual stress and then being flat. The opening of the leveling roller is smaller than the thickness of the beryllium copper plate at the entrance, and gradually becomes larger at the exit, and the gap is equal to or greater than the thickness of the beryllium copper plate, so that the curvature of the plate is gradually reduced until it reaches zero to complete the straightness of the plate. During production, it is adjusted according to the thickness, function and shape of the beryllium copper sheet. Regarding thin, high yield strength, large plate unevenness, adjust the difference between the inlet gap and the outlet gap to increase. The more rollers of the leveler, the higher the leveling accuracy. Generally, 5-9 rollers are used for thick plates and 11-29 rollers for thin plates. The smaller the roll diameter, the greater the plastic bending of the sheet. Regarding a leveler with a large number of rolls, multiple rows of support rolls must be provided to increase the rigidity of the work roll.
2. The beryllium copper plate stretching and leveling method
In this method, a tensile force is applied to both ends of the beryllium copper plate to cause small plastic deformation beyond the yield limit to eliminate the stress and deformation that cause unevenness. Stretching and leveling involves directly clamping the end of the beryllium copper plate with a tool for stretching, and the stretching force is formed by the tension roller of S for leveling, which is suitable for continuous production.
3. The beryllium copper plate is stretched and bent and flattened
This leveling method is a continuous leveling method that combines roll-type zigzag leveling and gentle roll-type stretching and leveling together. All the processes of annealing, pickling, cleaning, drying, surface treatment, and leveling have been linked together. Only in this way can the output of copper beryllium plates be improved and the leveling effect of copper beryllium plates will be better.
